Historical Archives
The VP-45 Association receives, discovers, stumbles upon, researches or otherwise digs up historical information about the squadron and the Association from time to time. We would like to make that information available to you when we receive it even if it is presented in a relatively "raw" format. Additionally, when we receive historical information that does not fit to any other section of this website, it will likely end up here.
We always like to receive this kind of data from our members or others who might want to contribute. We can process both hard copy and digital files. Just about anything historical might fit here. For examples: Squadron logs and records, old flight schedules, squadron correspondence, letters home, cruise books, diaries, film clips, etc. To keep our costs low, please try to provide copies (digital or hard copy) that we need not have to return. In the case of cruise books or other items hard to scan or copy, we can certainly return those.
Let us know what you have via the "Contact Us" button at the top right of this page.

VIEW/DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS: Many of the items you will find in this section are in Adobe PDF (.pdf) format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view after clicking the link. Most computers have Adobe Reader installed and the PDF document you select will be immediately displayed. If you do not already have this free program, it can be downloaded from the Adobe website or you can click on the Adobe link just below. Be careful to uncheck any additional software boxes before downloading (unless you want those programs).
Once the document is displayed on your computer monitor, click on the "File" drop down menu toward the upper left of your browser and then click "Save As." Then save the document to your documents file folder (or wherever you save reference documents such as this) on your computer (hard drive).
